If Truth is true, it would stand to reason that it would be found in all traditions--Eastern and Western. Intelligence would bring us to the same conclusion irrespective of the path. The absolute, by definition, would have to ultimately reveal itself whenever it was single mindedly demanded to be known. For Truth to exist, there could be an infinite amount of paths, but, in the end, there would be only one destination. Does this conclusion hold up when we inspect Western Philosophy? We find Greg Goode to be an invaluable resource on surveying our Western Philosophical Non Dual roots. The question about an inner structure of awareness is something that occasionally comes up for people doing self-inquiry. People think things are really happening, and they want to know why. They hear that consciousness is the sum and substance of everything, so they think "Aha! What is making consciousness do all that?! What's happening on the inside?"

MORE ABOUT INNER STRUCTURES IN AWARENESS

The enlightenment of each sage has followed a different process: no two alike. However, when you read the biographies of each of these enlightened sages, you notice that they collectively had one thing in common: the profundity of enlightenment is a life-changing development. The bottom line, in these recorded lives, is that there was a radical change between the pre-enlightenment life style and the life’s consequent course.
Michael Jeffreys reviews the DVD "Awe and Wonder: It's Darkest Before the Dawn" which features an intimate conversation between Jeff Foster and Chris Hebard about Jeff's life and awakening.
What is it to do a freedom inquiry--as compared to a traditional inquiry into the nature of experience?
