Space: Ramesh Balsekar Reflection
Posted: 05/31/10 07:13 PM | by oncechris | DeLuz

ramesh balsekar"Just as the difference between the space in a pot and the space outside it disappears when the pot is demolished, so also does duality disappear when it is realized that the difference between the individual consciousness and the Universal Consciousness does not in fact exist."

- Ramesh Balsekar

Ultimately, this journey seeks freedom.

Unaware of it's destination, it explores the objects of perception, searching to fulfill a deep sense of lack. At it's core, this lack is created from the assumption that we are contained and that which we seek is outside of ourselves.

How could this search occur without subscribing to the idea that things are separate, contained, existing within borders--limited?

This journey can not even begin without belief in boundaries, can it? Life is the examination of these self created limits until it finally occurs to itself that there just aren't any. It discovers itself blankly staring at itself, speechless.

When I first met Francis Lucille, two things were very evident:

First, there was something exceptional going on at his residence high in the DeLuz mountains above Temecula;

Second, that there was almost no record of it.

The Inadequacy of Communication
Posted: 04/23/10 06:18 PM | by oncechris | temecula

Meister EckhartThings have gotten very quiet here at StillnessSpeaks.com.

As a website pointing and celebrating  the "spaceless space" which infinitely births, sustains and dissolves the very entirety of appearance, it should not be surprising that silence might be it's very greatest gift.

It's just that we never bothered to explain this abrupt stillness.

Click here for one view of the inadequacy of communication and to receive free PDFs of the great Christian book, The Cloud of Unknowing, Sermons by Meister Eckhart and the Lankavatara Sutras, all building blocks of Non Dual Wisdom.

What do we mean by Reality?
Posted: 04/23/10 12:49 AM | by oncechris | temecula

reality checkWhat do I mean by Reality? Only this: our direct experience in this very moment. What else could it possibly be?

Of course, even this is untrue, because we never experience a moment, much less time. We only ever experience the eternal now, without beginning or end.

In fact, materiality itself is imagination, a continuous circular movement of awareness: from creation, to perception, as everything-ness, to dissolution, and, then, nothingness, all occurring outside of time itself.

"Perception is creation" as Francis Lucille so lucidly points out.

There is plenty of time for patience in eternity.

Click here as we explore the core nature of Reality and the cartoon character "Chris" that seems to get caught up in it.

Memory: The End of Belief 2
Posted: 04/23/10 12:33 AM | by oncechris | temecula

what is memory?Memory: The End of Belief Part 2

I heard an interesting discussion the other day that swept thru this musty attic evaporating debris. It's a direct ticket to Presence.

I hope you find it enjoyable. Here it is:

What exactly is memory? Is it not the recollection of seemingly past events?
And don't these recollections actually occur only in the everness of now?

Do we ever experience anything other than now?

The experience of the past is the experience of memory; memory is nothing more than a present thought.

So, did the past event ever actually occur? Did it happen?

Click here to discover what we mean when we say "something happened".
