Many are confused and intimidated by Vedanta. There appear to be an overwhelming array of sacred texts, Godheads and unfamiliar Sanskrit terms and no one to simply lead Western seekers through this dense forest to clarity in terms and examples familiar to them.
During the Spring of 2009, while visiting our home in California, James Swartz was inspired to compile a resource on Vedanta that would be the end all experience for Westerners seeking clarity on Vedanta. In an whirlwind fashion, James quickly completed the entire first draft of the work reducing this apparently complex teaching into a format both clear, accessible and entertaining to a western audience.
The book is done.

It's a secret not because there's anyone hiding anything. It's been proclaimed by sages around the world for millennia. Rather, it's a secret because enlightenment is often misunderstood to be a matter of personal achievement, like scoring the ultimate goal. But there's no person there! There's not even a "there" or a spatial location where a person can reside. There is no individualized or separate "you" or "me"; no goal, no task and no achievement. There are no things, and no gaps separating things. Click here to read Greg Goode's Grand Central Station experience and pointers on awakening. ![]() |

Buddha: Wisdom from the Kalama Sutra
Why Investigate Traditional Vedanta?
How does someone judge their "progress" when standing as Awareness? How do I know that I am not just playing a game with my mind? Are there signs that I am on the "correct path"?
Sat Chit Ananda
You are not a separate being. You are Being, and never separate. This is the Enlightenment, the happiness, in which all apparent things consist. It is the very Being of you.
