What do we mean by Reality?

reality checkTo what do sensations, perceptions and thoughts appear?

I am not much concerned anymore with mentations. They morph and move seemingly at will, rearranging themselves into what appear to be objects in space. Who wants to be an expert in appearances?

Simultaneous to this current of sensory perceptions I call the world, there co-exist these thoughts. These thoughts are as mysterious as the rest of perception, they appear and vanish without direction.

They share a common kingdom. This kingdom has no borders, no limitations and no one to whom any could appear. In fact, this kingdom is it's own father and mother.

There is only this Chris idea, a cartoon character, that occasionally arises as an assimilation of the data created and witnessed. In many respects, it seems that these arisings could be re-arranged at will to create any other "cartoon" character desired.

This being the case, there is no causality, only independent, spontaneous arisings occurring outside of time and space.

What we refer to as space is also an idea. First, there is the appearance of data: sensations and perceptions. These data points are perceived and imagination expands them into what we call space.  The "depth" inside a painting illustrates how the illusion of space can be created. It seems the same process occurs spontaneously as we experience color as vision.

But, what about the data itself? Where id it come from? Is it independently existing? And, if so, from what does it arise? How could it come from anywhere but here? Certinly, nothing else is evident. There is no other evident candidate.

Positive and negative are both illusory; the channel referred to here is neither, it is the actual substance from which polarity arises. It is colorless, fluid and infinitely transformable. It is a completely different geography from where I expected it to be. Everything I examined, including the "space" in which it appeared was as irrelevant as cardboard. Happiness, sadness, good, bad, bright, dark, here, there: all of it, the wrong zip code entirely. Instead, these dreams arise from  that which is, a totally unexpected discovery from a totally alternative placeless place.
