“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as the sunshine into the trees. The winds will blow their freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.” ~ John Muir
Indeed let Nature’s peace flow through you … at all times … and this gift of Mother Earth is available to you – everywhere and at all times. We can tap into this gift and cultivate joy. As Amma says: “Look at Nature’s beauty and perfection – everything is so joyful!”
Let this year 2020 bring a “2020” vision for all of us … and with that clarity, let us bring forth the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual awareness and maturity to care for her …. because Mother Earth is our home and she is the oasis in the desert of space. Joan Marie Arbogast’s proverb is most apropos: “To care for Mother Earth is to honor her Maker. To conserve her precious gifts is to honor generations yet to come.”
And as Paul Coelho says: The Earth is alive and has a soul.
So, let us take in the blessings from Mother Earth … and refresh and renew our beings every day!
Earth Blessings
May the sun bless you
with laughter and fire
and the moon glow iridescence
upon your night journeys
May the rains of dawn refresh
each day, and trees
grow lush for shady retreat
May flowers rise
to lead your dance;
the wind chant your song
May birds feather your heart
to soften sorrow,
and the Earth clothed in green
velvet feed you eternity
May the words and deeds
of your life
be the mingling bands
of the rainbow
~ Sue Holloway
And this Native American prayer reminds us of how Mother Nature can help us renew our spirits and hearts …
Nature Speaks To Me
The beauty of the trees,
the softness of the air,
the fragrance of the grass,
speaks to me.
The summit of the mountain,
the thunder of the sky,
the rhythm of the sea,
speaks to me.
The faintness of the stars,
the freshness of the morning,
the dewdrop of the flower,
speaks to me.
The strength of the fire,
the taste of salmon,
the trail of the sun,
and the life that never goes away,
they speak to me.
And my heart soars.
~ Chief Dan George
