Ten Commandments Reboot: Foreword
Although the Ten Commandments, as given to Moses, are central to this book, this is not, by any means, a “Jewish” text. While these ten ancient statements, allegedly given by God, are sourced in Hebraic tradition, one might argue that the values and guidance enshrined within them undergird much of what passes for Western civilization. This book makes the case that the Ten Commandments, as we know them, are but a fraction of the divine guidance Heaven intended for all of humanity. If Moses had not redacted the overwhelming majority of Heaven’s words, humanity would not now be facing an existential crisis—pretty much of its own making.
We say “pretty much” because, according to the following narrative, Heaven itself miscalculated several critical points in its planning of the Humankind Project. Revealed here for the first time is Heaven’s intent in creating humanity as well as its own fractious debate over how best to help humanity fulfill that divine intent. The Ten Commandments Reboot makes clear that humanity was created to take on its share of managing the delicate life-sustaining systems of Mother Earth. That the Humankind Project seems to be going off the rails is the reason for this book. The postmodern rumors that God is dead and that humans are but a giant accident of biological evolution with no purpose, no meaning, and no higher calling are just that—rumors.
From the get-go, humanity has been hamstrung from fulfilling its destiny because of Heaven’s own lack of foresight. In Heaven’s attempt to make a species that would “spiritualize” physical reality, it failed to take into account the severe constraints of a physical universe based in dualism. When everything humans perceive comes in opposites, how can they not feel schizophrenic? This book purports to be Heaven’s good faith attempt to take responsibility for its bad planning.
Herein, Heaven also admits to its naiveté in giving Moses a free hand in editing its original fifteen statements as he saw fit—even eliminating five of them altogether. This explains why so much of the original text of the Ten Commandments was never seen by the public. Appropriately enough, Heaven is using this opportunity to offer a heartfelt apology for allowing the first edition, as redacted by Moses, to be the only one familiar to us all.
In addition to restoring and updating the missing text from the Ten Commandments, there are, for the first time, five lost commandments. And although Moses did allow “Humanity’s Quick Setup Guide for the Three Divine Gifts of Intelligent Awareness” to be made available to only a small, esoteric circle of priests and adepts, Heaven has chosen to also make that available to everyone reading this book.
The divine entities hovering around Mother Earth hope that in publishing the Commandments in its entirety, humanity will come to know its true upward spiraling evolutionary destiny which, you may be surprised to learn, has nothing to do with your next shrimp cocktail or credit rating.
