Frequently Asked Questions
Is there any relationship between StillnessSpeaks.com and the book Stillness Speaks, by Eckhart Tolle?
No, there is no formal relationship between the two. However, our website name is in honor of Eckhart Tolle, who is a physical embodiment of the living principles of Truth that never changes.
What does "Attribution Pending" mean?
“Attribution Pending” means that we are in the process of filling in the attribution details.
Lot of the old stillnessspeaks.com content seems to be missing?
Yes, that is intentional. We could not migrate all of the old content at this time. However, we do intend to migrate all such pertinent, content over time. For further details, please click here.
There seems to be a focus on the Zen tradition – several new teachers are from Zen and several new posts are related with Zen?
Yes, that is intentional. Even though we will be publishing content from multiple traditions on a regular, and random, basis … but from time-to-time, and for a given period (e.g., 4-6 weeks), we may concentrate on a particular tradition – so as to build up it’s content. Over time most, if not all, traditions will end up being highlighted in such a manner. With this launch we are introducing the Zen tradition and will be highlighting it for the next few weeks. After that, we will select some other tradition, e.g., Christianity.
What is “Science & Consciousness” tradition?
In addition to providing content regarding specific traditions, we will also cover the “intersection of traditions” – wherever meaningful. Science (or particular sub-disciplines within Science, e.g., Quantum Mechanics or Quantum Physics), has a direct and unfolding relationship with Consciousness (or the “exploration of our true nature”) so we intend to cover this topic. Another example of an “intersection” is “Art & Consciousness.” Of course, more such intersections will emerge with time.
