In their book, The Awakening West: Conversations with Today’s New Western Spiritual Leaders, the authors Lynn Marie Lumiere and John-Lumiere Wins suggest that “… Western Spirituality has come into its own, drawing on the rich philosophies of Zen, Hinduism, Advaita Vedanta, Kashmiri Shaivism, Judaism, and Christianity …” and they explore awakening or enlightenment with many spiritual teachers including : Adyashanti, Gangaji, Francis Lucille, Eckhart Tolle, and Robert Rabbin (it’s a much longer list).
